Cuz I’m going to be buying a drum machine,and hook it up to my computer,but how do I save it. What program can I use to save it. Can I us Audicity. Cuz I have that program. I hope I can use Audicity. Can I? Or what program do I need to save a beat,if free or cheap program,and what is the best?
Regarding saving to fruity loops,can I hook up a drum machine and save a beat I make to fruity loops,and also can I do this on the demo version,cuz I don’t have enough for the full version,if not I can save up my money and get it but for now can I make beats from a drum machine and save it to fruity loops on the demo version.

my friend is trying to become a rapper and i have been interested in being involved with music (i wanted to be a singer but that failed after one band, i own a guitar but havnt gotten around to having time to practice lately). i take a class in school called digital audio which is basically using garage band and recording your own stuff to make music/sounds. i was wondering if there was any garage band type things for microsoft? (we both have gottennew computers in the past 3 years so no real want to waste the money atleast not my money). is there any cheaper kind of beat making machines that could be a subsititute if garage bands to expensive?
