The sonic producer is one of the best beat makers when it comes to sounds considering the price of the program which is only 34.99…a great price for an entry level beat maker……….. To get one and start making beats right now, or to visit the official website click here or the Sonic Producer Banner Above. If you are new to beat making and cannot afford a higher end beat maker….then the sonic producer is a good way to get started.. This beat maker has recently been upgraded and sounds better than ever.. Click the banner below to go to the official Sonic Producer Website or read on to learn more from an experienced producer.
These are the drawbacks as compared to the beat thang which is one of the hottest beat makers out today. Also a new beat maker for the same price as the Sonic Producer just dropped and it handles a lot of these drawbacks listed below….but I haven’t heard any sounds from the dub turbo demo’s that I like better than what comes with the Sonic Producer or Beat Thang Programs, there may be some hot sounds though…cause it comes with more than the sonic producer…and you can also upload your own to the Dub turbo beat maker and of course to the Beat Thang .
- Program only works while online……..this simple to use beat maker is well worth the cheap price. The sounds along are…they were crafted by experienced engineers! If you are new to beat making, these limitations wont matter to you much starting off anyway…..but there are some people who prefer to start with all the options, this usually means paying a bit more…..
Beat Maker Software at : www.BeatMakerWizard.com DUBturbo is a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW), which also provides excellent support for your music life. Many people, especially those just starting out to music production need extra support when it comes to using their software. DUBturbo…
Making beats is easy once you have the right equipment. You may be asking what is the right equipment?…That depends on you and how you like to work or how you think you might like to work if you are just getting started. Programming beats is easy and you can get started with your first beat maker for a real low cost if you click on the button under the video on this page…..but that is just one beat maker that is out. There are at least a hundred or more different type of beat makers on the market today. The Sonic Producer is the cheapest one we have found yet that sounds as well as it does and offers such an easy platform for programming beats…..However….it does lack a lot of extra features that you would get from a beat making program that would probably cost at least 30 dollars more…..so you have to decide if these extra features are worth it to you at this point…..
By extras I mean features like multiple track recording options that will allow you to record your voice on top of your beat or instrumental. /Effects that can be added to your sounds or voice recordings as you put your production together. /Sequencing capabilities that would allow you to sync your beat machine to other musical equipment like a external workstation or drum machine beat maker.
If you are just getting started…a lot of this may not make sense to you….and that’s fine…..that is one good thing about the Sonic Producer Package…..they explain all of these features and why you may or may not want them when purchasing a Sonic Producer. You can also leave a question at the bottom of any page on this site and we will be glad to answer it.
To make beats there is generally two main ways to do it with a beat program or drum machine beat maker. There is real time programming….and what is called Step Programming…..If you watch the video, My friend shows you both ways with the Sonic Producer. I will explain here again . Real time programming is when you just simply press record and hit the pads you want to sound. Every time you hit a pad the computer or whatever machine you may be using will record that hit and sound it off once the pattern loops back around. How long it takes to loop back around depends on the time signature, number of bars you have set and tempo. As the device loops back around you can continue to add as much as you like to what you have already done because the beat machine will remember every time you hit a pad.
This much easier to do than it sounds….just watch the video and you will see what I am talking about…..But another way to program is called Step mode programming…..It is a bit more harder to grasp and depending on the device you are programming your beat on…it can be a bit challenging ……we have found that devices that offer the grid type of step programming seem to work the best and be the easiest to grasp and program on. Sadly….most beat makers do not offer this type of setup….but we have noticed that lately a lot of companies have started using this type of platform for programming. Roland has been using it for a long time …..since I can remember….and that’s a long time…lol…..Believe it or not ….The Sonic Producer, which is being showed in the video to your right also uses this form of step programming, which he shows you in the video……To explain it would take a lot of writing, but I will attempt to do a short explanation.
Step Programming with a grid simply means you are not recording in real time..like I explained earlier…..but it is done while the device is not even cycling….basically just sitting there while you insert what you want to play into a grid at certain points. Once you are finished inserting each instrument at the time point on the grid you choose…then you press play and you will hear what you have done……You can always go back and add to it….either with step mode or in real time….that’s a good thing…….But what you will be amazed with is how quickly and easy step mode becomes after using it for a little while……trust me ….if you use it a bit….with in a week …you could just look at the grid….(if your device offers grid programming)……and already know what the beat will sound like before ever hitting play……If you notice on the video…when my friend is programming the Sonic Producer …he already knows that the snare goes on certain areas in the grid for the type beat he was wanting to program……Trust me ….this is not hard to learn…….
I want to say that if you have been watching another type of program that seems to interest you when it comes to making music and you can afford it…..Go ahead and get it…..We use several different types of beat makers here including the Sonic Producer……Its all about inspiration……cause you will be making the music……so what every inspires you to express yourself is what matters most……Good Luck…!
If you are new to making beats and want to learn the best way to do it, then you are in the right place. Let me start by saying that making beats is a term that has changed in meaning with in the last 5 to 8 years. About 5 years ago…the term making beats meant to create just the rhythmic part of a song…or percussion part of a instrumental……But now mainly because of the explosion of rap and hip hop music.and because technology has grown so much…..the term making beats has come to mean creating an instrumental, especially among the younger generation. Once again this is mainly from the slang that spreads from the rap industry. But it is also because beat making tools have also become so much more powerful and can now give you the ability to make music tracks with just one plat forms…..ie…a beat making machine, or program.
Now if you are new to making beats ….you are probably wondering what is the best way for you to get started….. The first thing you want to look at is …what type of music will you be making…..Hip Hop?…Country?…..Pop?..RnB…..and so on……also ….you will want to ask yourself…do you want to use your computer to make beats or do you want to use a separate piece of equipment to make beats with? And yet another thing you will want to consider is how much are you ready to spend to get started with……?…These are the three most important things you will want to know before getting started.
If you are thinking about doing mostly hip hop beats….You will not need to spend much money to get started……Hip hop beats and or rap beats in my opinion are the easiest to create and require the least amount of equipment to get started doing…..especially if you already own a computer……but …there is still an art to it. If you are just getting started…..The Sonic Producer which is an online beat maker and the only one of its kind at this time…is the best beak maker I have seen for making hip hop beats, considering its cost……It’s the only beat maker I have seen that sounds as good as it does for such a low price. If you are worried about learning how to use it…..Don’t worry…its easy…..and the Sonic Producer team will show you how to use it once you purchase the right to use it on your computer. Although I feel it is best suited for hip hop and rap beats…..you can make r n b and pop tracks with it. Also let me say…..although the Sonic Producer is an excellent beat maker…you will still need some way to record your vocals on top of the beats you create…..If you have a computer I recommend getting a track recording program …like Cubase….or you could even get a free track program by Googling audio track programs. But If you are serious about making good productions I highly suggest you eventually purchase a good track program like Cubase or Pro tools and there are many more to choose from.
If you have enough money to spend….I would suggest going with a keyboard workstation like the new Roland Fantom G series….For a little over 2 thousand dollars…..you will have everything you need to make beats and put your voice on top of your new beat right in front of you …..outside of a microphone and some speakers or headphones, which might come with the Roland Fanthom G…..I know a lot of companies that sell the Roland Fanthom G that will give you some head phones and a mic to use with it just for purchasing it from them..such as the Guitar Center which you can get to by clicking on the banner above…I want to end this right now…but I could go on talking about this powerful workstation…..it is so much more than a beat maker……Let me say also that another great beat maker that has everything you need to record and make beats with as well as put your voice on top of your creation is the MPC 5000……It has all the features and possibilities you will find with the Roland workstation minus the piano keys…..but you do of course get pads to beat on instead …..
If you are interested in purchasing any of these beat makers I would recommend you at least check out either zzounds or guitar center by clicking on there banners at the top right of this page. These two companies have the best prices for musical equipment I have seen to date.
For this article…I have used the term making beats as it is used today…. One thing I want to mention is that….this website is dedicated to beat making……which in my opinion is a bit different from what I would call making music or musical instrumentals……reason being…….would you call a broad-way musical soundtrack a beat? You could….but a so call beat maker could never make a orchestrated sound track as complicated as a serious musical. Although most beat making tools have become very powerful, you would need to at least know how to play a piano or keyboard to successfully create a complicated musical that an orchestra has made…and even then you would have to be a pretty good keyboard player to get it just right….even with the best sample library…… You might could create a sound track that would be pretty close to a complicated musical track ….but it would take a lot of trial and error , and still would not come nearly as close to the quality you would get from doing it by playing piano ……or keyboard……which would be what I call making music……not beats.
There are still other programs that are great for making beats that you can use on your computer…and some other great hardware beat makers..some other computer beat making programs are……. Cubase..which I mentioned earlier, got its start for being one of the best computer sequencing programs you could buy for the money…and is still one to the best out today…..but is also an excellent audio recording program….and it comes with a beat maker to…a very good one….although the samples that initially come with it are not as good as the ones in the Sonic Producer, which is hard to believe considering how much more it cost…..but you can always grow your sound pallet …..Other programs that are well known for making beats are….Fruity Loops…..which is also one of the most used beat making programs in the hip hop world…BPM….ACID…..and many more……they are all great….but cost more than the cheaper Sonic Producer…..there individual prices vary….and the features and sound sets are slightly different from program to program…..I have not personally used some of the latter ones……but I do have partners who do.
You can learn more about any of the programs or pieces of equipement I have mentioned for making beats by googling there names…..or by clicking…..this———> more options for making beats main page.

….The Sonic Producer is one of the hottest beat makersout today in its price range. Hi….I am Dman from DaFlow Productions. We have been making rap beats, pop beats, gospel, r and b beats, hip hop beats for many years and consider ourselves professionals when it comes to producing, mixing, mastering and writing songs. We, along with one of our associates, have directly and indirectly worked with a lot of big names in the industry like Paula Abdul …yea the one on American Idol…..as well as Randy also a judge on American Idol……James actually recorded some demo songs with Paula at her house. Other artist include….Lil John, Kutt Klose(Keith Sweats Last Girl Group)…Deon Farris, Baby Face, Birmingham J, Ruben Studdard American Idol winner a few years back, Nevel Brothers, Gucci Mane, and many more.
As you can see in the picture, we use a lot of equipment to achieve that just right sound, but one of our secret weapons lately has been the Sonic Producer Beat machine, cause it is so easy to just pull up a few sounds and put together a quick slamming beat in minutes…then we usually build around it…..but in a lot of cases the Sonic Producer holds the groove together solo. If you are just starting out or if you have a full blown studio, you can benefit from the beats that are easily put together in a matter of seconds with this beat maker. WATCH THE VIDEO
Only 30 dollars gets you this beat maker that you can make unlimited beats with using professional hard hitting sounds. No weak or low quality sounds that usually come stock with most beat makers. You can hear how powerful and professional the Sonic Producer Sounds in the video playing at the bottom of the page…..very impressive for mp3 samples if I must say so myself…I usually don’t feel this good about programs that are this cheap, but…..the sounds are precise and focused and have distinct characteristics that give this beat maker a professional sound.
I wish the Sonic Producer would have been out when I first started making beats….I paid 300 dollars for my first drum machine which was a Roland 505 and it didn’t come anywhere near the versatility or quality of sounds you get with the Sonic Producer. If you are just starting out making beats, this is the perfect beat maker. It has an easy to understand interface. It comes with online videos to show you how to use it. How cool is that?!…….I could go on about this great sounding hard hitting beat maker…..but I advise you to just see for yourself….Just CLICK HERE TO VISIT THE OFFICIAL SONIC PRODUCER WEBSITE or on the sonic producer banner above and get started making your own slamming Hit beats.
This is not a beat maker but a website that has thousands of beats already made for you. Out of all the instrumental sites we could find that let you purchase or even get free instrumentals, especially for hip hop and rap beats, this one got our highest rating…..visit the site yourself by clicking the banner…You pay only one low price and get to claim as many beats as you can handle for life….All slamming and top quality sounding.
……..We visited over 16 instrumental sites and discovered that this one out performed all the others because of the quality of there instrumentals as well as the value. Best sounding hip hop tracks we could find for the price……These guys have been around producing beats for a while…so they know how to put together hit sounding beats.
If you are a rapper or singer and do not want to deal with making your own music, then it would be worth your while to at least visit this site by clicking here or on the beats 365 banner and listen to instrumentals this site has to offer. Then determine for yourself if the one low price is worth the quality of beats you will have to choose from……From what we have heard so far….this site has more than enough beats to satisfy even the most crucial type of listener…especially if its hip hop they are looking for……We have not had the chance to go through the other styles, but we are pretty sure they are just as good.
Although most of the other beat making sites did not measure up to the professional sound quality and overall arrangement of the instrumentals on the beats 365 web site, the instrumental sites that did were a lot more expensive , and required you pay per download. This can get really expensive if you write a lot of songs or raps really fast…..Beats365 only requires a one time fee that allows you to download instrumentals for life….and the producers are constantly adding new beats weekly…….top quality instrumentals with a wide variety and new beats added weekly or daily makes this site a top pick!
The MPC hardware beat maker is the most used drum machine/sampler among professional producers for over 30 years, and for good reason, Nothing else sounds like it, and its easy to program with a wealth of ready made features all built into one portable package. No computer needed!
……….Out of all the beat makers I have ever tried….hardware or software…..the MPC serious of samplers are the best in my opinion……Especially when it comes to sound, durability, features, and ease of use. The MPC drum machines have been around for as long as I can remember, which is a long time…..lol…..but seriously……The MPC has been used on more hit records than any other studio instrument ever made….at least in the past……but it is still one to the most used instruments in professional studios even today. Back in the day I use to dream of owning one…now I have two…..but could not afford my first one until they lowered the price.
In the eighties you could not get a new mpc for under 2 thousand dollars……average cost was even more than that…..but now they have one that was not too long ago released that you can get for around 500 dollars…….Its the cheapest one they have made yet…..but believe it or not…it sounds really good…. Unlike software beat makers that you use with your computer, the mpc comes with everything you will ever need to make beats with all built right in…pads to beat on, sound effects, a sequencer and much more all in one box…….The new ones also come with a large selection of samples you can use right out of the box……This was not the case many years back….In the olden days …you either had to purchase samples or make your own…..which you still can do today…but its nice to know that the MPC comes stocked with some good sounds to get you going right away.
What made and still makes the MPC one of the most requested beat makers is its sound……Nothing else sounds like it…..although I must admit computer software beat makers have come a long way since the start of them…….but the MPC sound was so unique in earlier days, that a trained engineer could hear it on a record and know a MPC was most likely used to program the drums and samples…….The MPC excels at producing drum tracks that have lots of punch. this is why rap beat makers and hip hop producers just love them…..but the MPC has such great converters that it is also the most used beat maker in just about every style of music. This is due to the way the converters are made within the machine….but that’s a whole different subject…..just know that the MPC paved the way for having excellent sounding rhythm and sample tracks long before many producers out today where even born!
There where other beat makers out that sounded really good also, like the Yamaha spx 90 which was also pricey…..I heard one at a live show and it sounded amazing….I actually liked the sound of it more than the Mpc, on that show…..The Yamaha spx 90 was used on a lot of hit records back in the day also……It was soon beat out by the MPC ..and is now pretty much gone…I have not seen one in a while…which is a shame considering how good it sounds…..I think most of the reason for this was because the MPC was easier to program with more sample memory and features for around the same price or less…which was still in the thousands back then when the spx was out……….at least this is the story I have heard over and over from professional producers who used it a long time ago… I also want to state that there have been a lot of new hardware beat makers that have entered the market that deserve mentioning like the new Roland line of sample drum machines that closely resemble the MPC……I have not worked on any of these machines so I cannot do an apples to apples comparison…..But I do know that the MPC is still one of the most used beat machines in the industry among professional producers, so that should tell you something, and if you are thinking about getting one.Since I have never actually programmed on the Roland look alikes ….I cannot say how they sound compared to the MPC, or how much easier or harder they are to navigate…..but why even wonder unless you just are a die hard fan of Roland…..might as well get a MPC cause it has and still is a proven winner……….just click here or on the banner above if you are interested in purchasing a MPC…..the newest version of the MPC is the MPC 500 which cost a little over 500 dollars. This is unheard of considering the sound quality and features you get from a well know respected machine, not to mention you will be that much closer to sounding like the big boys with a MPC. I like them so much, I have two…but one is all you really need. You will be directed to zzounds online music store which has the best prices on all the new MPC series of beat makers, as well as a lot of other musical instruments, check it out!
IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD THE BIG DOG MPC DRUM MACHINE ALTHOUGH THE NEWEST ADDITION WHICH IS THE MPC 500 ONLY SELLS FOR A LITTLE MORE THAN 500 dollars…… THEN YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER GETTING A CHEAPER HARDWARE BEAT MAKER. THE Best Ones we have used are listed below….You can click on the drum machine picture or the zzounds banner to get the best price on any of them……AND THEY SOUND PRETTY GOOD FOR A LOW PRICE.
I have always preferred the hardware beat makers to the software kind….Its just something about being able to actually put your hands on the device that is making the actual sound for you, in this case the beat maker…..If you are considering getting a hardware beat maker but cannot afford to pay much….I would suggest going with the Boss drum machines…..Boss drum machines are a division of the Roland line of drum machines and in our opinion offer the best sound variety, and quality for the price……especially if you are doing rap, rnb, or hip hop…..now for other kinds of music ……any of the other beat makers may be better suited ………….Although we mostly deal with Mpc beat maker now days….we have used many other drum machines in the past……and they all sound pretty good considering there prices…..The best thing to do is to try and visit a music store and listen for yourself…..If your music store does not carry a variety of smaller beat makers ….and you want to purchase a hardware beat maker…..I would suggest ordering one and just trying it out for yourself. You can always send it back if you are not satisfied…although this may be a bit of a hassle……but in our opinion, if you want a low budget hardware, hands on beat maker that sounds great….the boss line of drum machines is the way to go. ZZounds is currently stocking three different versions at different prices…….they also have some other great sounding brands of drum machines….such as the Alesis brand which is also a great sounding one……I have not personally heard there newest version…..but the older sr version was actually used on a couple of hit records….or at least some of the sounds in it was…..I know this for a fact cause I own the Alesis myself…..but at any rate…..The final decision is up to you…and if you have a personal question about any of the drum machines you might be considering to buy……just leave a question in the comment box at the bottom of the page…….If you want to purchase a beat maker for lowest price…click the zzounds banner, they have the best prices on all music gear, and you avoid the extra cost of taxes if you order online in most states….some states are not eligible. ……..here’s to much beat making!
Fruity Loops is widely used by a lot of hip hop producers who are just getting started and by experienced producers. This beat making program started out as a simple freeware program many years ago, but has since matured into a full blown multitracking program with a wealth of effects and features. I give this program 4 and a half stars because of the higher price and necessity to get extra sounds if you want to sound like the big boys.
There are many programs that have just as much power and features as fruity loops…some have even more…..but because of the nature of how fruity loops grew over the years, it has become the go to program for making beats that sounded pretty good for free …..I believe its because fruity loops is one of the few beat making programs ever released that actually offered a free version that would do everything most paid software programs do. This way of marketing coupled with an easy to use interface, a decent collection of stock sounds, and just enough of everything else needed to make professional sounding beats for free , made this program a house hold name among producers.
Even today you can download a free version of fruity loops and start making instrumentals almost instantly…..but there is one big catch….until you pay for the program…you will not be able to save any of your unfinished projects. This means that if you are working on a beat and the power goes out, or if you turn your computer off, you will loose everything. Not a pleasant thought…….although a lot of producers deal with this delima just to be able to use the program for free………It is possible to save a completed version of whatever you are working on to disk…..I am not sure in what formats……or if all of this still holds true as of today……
Fruity loops has released a new version of its program for around 60 dollars……which is not bad considering the program can also be used as a multitrack recorder….comes with a number of soft synths in addition to the samples that has made this program what it is today. I do know that in the past ….In order to get the really good sounds like you hear with the sonic pro, you had to purchase separate disk . I am not sure how good the sounds are with the newer versions of fruity loops…..but you will have to pay extra for more sounds if you are not satisfied with the ones that come stock with the program.
Personally….I would never use a program that erases anything I have spent time working on if the power goes out….or that will not save my unfinished work. The free version of fruity loops is designed to do these things on purpose. The reason there is a free version of fruity loops, is so you can get familiar with how the program works and hopefully want to buy it. Of course once you pay for it ….all the parts of the program that do not work in the free version will start to work, after you pay for it. I would advise anyone who is serious about making beats to try the free version for a short period of time and if they like working with it, go ahead and pay for the program as soon as possible as opposed to just leaving there computer on all the time, just so there project does not get erased……which by the way is not a good thing in my opinion cause you are burning your computer out faster by leaving it on all the time.
There are many more excellent beat making programs on the market like reason, acid pro by sound forge, bpm, and many more……If you want to try out any of these programs, including fruity loops, you can click on the guitar center banner, and enter the name of it in the search bar once you get to the guitar center site. Guitar center and zzounds have the best prices I have seen so far on any type of music equipment. Guitar Center will even try to beat anyone elses price if you tell them you have found someone that is selling a particular item for cheaper price! If you want to try the free version of Fruity Loops just type Fruity Loops in the search bar at the top right of this page and you will see a list of places you can go to try the free version.
