This is the new version of the the Beat Thang at a much lower price. It is probably the best of all the beat makers on this page when it comes to making hip hop beats and when it comes to professional features and sounds. With that being said, it may not be as user friendly as some of the other beat makers on this page. I see where some people are complaining about no honest reviews about the new beat makers available on the market. That compelled me to write this article about the best of the newest beat makers available online these days. I am a professional producer with skill sets that span from writing songs and music to mixing and mastering and although my links are affiliate based, my reviews of all the beat makers on my site are honest. Our company has not released much due to time limitations, but our last r and b artist video is on youtube, which is a song we did about 4 years ago, but still is selling independently today. With that said…lets get to a review of the first latest beat maker.

Dr. Drum is one of the newest beat machines on the market currently around $29.95. Honestly, all of the latest beat makers that came out in the last year all have the best features you can get for under 50 dollars.  All of the engineers and owners of these software beat machines have listened to there customers and over deliver on features at this price point…….to get what you get with these beat makers 10 years ago was simply impossible.

The biggest difference I see among these beat makers is in the overall sound sets and who they seem to be catered to. Learning how to work these beat machines is really easy, all you have to do is just start drag and dropping for the most part. (With the exception of the beat kangs beat thang which is considered a mid to high end hip hop, r and b beat maker) The learning curve on the beat thang is a bit more steep, but also worth the time and easy to navigate once you get the hang of it.

Dr. Drum sounds great and has the same basic interface as most of the new beat makers under 50 dollars. It has high quality samples and works really will with house, trip hop, and pop beats, but can handle hip hop and r and b comfortably.

Mega Music Maker is Actually a beat program that is created by the same makers of The Sonic Producer, both the original version and the new version. Mega Music Maker appears to be a step up in features and though, and has all the bells and whistles you will find with beat making software in this price range. The sounds that come with this program are really impressive as they were with the Sonic Producer. Especially if you are doing hip hop and r and b styles…although like the others it can be used for any style of music.

The sounds that I have heard from the demos are extremely fat and worth the price of the program even if you never use the software itself.  Some produces have actually got the software just to sample the sounds for other machines like the mpc and roland drum. I have played with the original software the Sonic Producer which was pretty limited, but have not had the chance to officially check out the Mega Music Maker as of yet…but from what I am hearing and seeing in the demos, there is definitely much improvement in the way the program behaves. You can also do a lot of things that you could not do with the Sonic Producer like import sounds , save projects in wav. format and play sustained notes using a virtual keyboard controller.

This program is definitely worth the price of admission considering that you could not get anywhere near these amount of features at this price just 5 years ago. These are the drawbacks as compared to the beat thang which is one of the hottest beat makers out today.  Also a new beat maker for the same price as the Sonic Producer just dropped and it handles a lot of these drawbacks listed below….but I haven’t heard any sounds from the dub turbo demo’s that I like better than what comes with the Sonic Producer or Beat Thang Programs, there may be some hot sounds though…cause it comes with more than the sonic producer…and you can also upload your own to the Dub turbo beat maker and of course to the Beat Thang .

• Program only works while online……..this simple to use beat maker is well worth the cheap price. The sounds along are…they were crafted by experienced engineers!
